Make sure students have plenty of water. Encourage them to refill bottles with tap water where possible. In their own country they might think tap water is toxic! Educate them.
Ensure you have the group register and emergency contact numbers for all leaders and students
Make sure you have the tickets you need to enter with your group
Wear the official group T-shirt or hoodie for easy identification
Charge your phone fully and bring a power bank

Get ready for an adventurous hike to Cissbury Ring, one of the South Downs’ most iconic hilltops! Students will have the chance to explore rolling hills, chalk grasslands, and enjoy sweeping views over the Sussex countryside and the English Channel. Along the way, you may come across the famous wild ponies of Cissbury Ring, which have roamed the downs for generations alongside grazing cattle, adding a special touch of wildlife to the adventure. This hike is also a great way to practice your English, as you’ll be chatting with friends, following directions, and sharing observations as a team. Whether you’re an experienced walker or just looking for a fun outdoor adventure, the trip is full of fresh air, exercise, and the chance to connect with nature and fellow students. By the end of the hike, you’ll have enjoyed stunning views, encountered fascinating wildlife, and created memories with friends that will last long after the walk is over!
